As a follow up to the last post, I have been using a double-edged (aka., safety razor) blade from Van Der Hagen. The blades are similar to what my grandfathers used. I feel that this gives a closer shave and reduces razor burns, bumps and infections. The unit price on the blades are half, or even less, less than cartridge blades.
The razor and blades take up less space than conventional razors and the only thing that you dispose is the 1/2 square-inch blaze.
