As a follow up to the last post, I have been using a double-edged blade from Van Der Hagen. The blades are similar to what my grandfathers used. I feel that this gives a closer shave and reduces razor burns, bumps and infections. The unit price on the blades are half, or even more, less then cartridge blades.
